Jam Pack can be used with any version of GarageBand. I just had a look at the system and nothing mentioned about the need for a specific version. In fact, the system of states "Requires GarageBand (with iLife '04 or '05). GarageBand installed with iLife '04 and iLife '05 is version 1 is the version 2
